I wrote a whole thread about that, I'll try to find the URL if you need it.
Try this. Lower right hand corner of any post you see a blank box next to the word "quote". Check it. Then go down to the bottom of the page and click "Post Reply". The person's quote will appear in your "reply" box when it comes up. A good hint: Try to erase all of the person's quote except for the one or two lines that you are trying to point to. Repeating a whole message, unless that message is very short, gets to be drag for the reader and blunts your conversational point.

I never use jpg, I always use .gif or .png. Remember, the limit for graphics is 100 kb. .JPG frequently goes over that. If that is the problem, then I suggest you convert your .jpg files to .gif. To do that, I suggest you download XnView, (freeware), and see how it goes. I never have trouble with .gifs from XnView. www.xnview.com Irfanview is also a good program, but I am more used to XnView. www.irfanview.com Let me know how it works out for you.

Are you having trouble with all graphics files or just jpg?
Remember, the limit for graphics is 100 kb. .JPG frequently goes over that. Kelt, Thanks for the help. Regarding photos, I use ACDSee and all photos are well under 100kb. I hit the browse button, locate the file, open it and it does appear in the box next to the browse button but does not appear in my message when I Preview Reply. I'm attaching a photo with this message. Please advise me if it gets through. Regards Chuck |

Chuck:
Picture did not get through. Hmmm... How about a quote box? Try the quote box to see if that works.

Hi Chuck,
When I hit the 'preview reply' it also never shows the picture. When you then hit the back-button of your browser, the path and filename you attached disappears from the box next to the browse button, so you have to re-browse. /Hugo

While you’re around, could you also have a look at another related issue? When hitting the back-button from previewing, it sometimes happens that your reply disappears completely. If there is no copy of that text, one can start typing all over again. Thanks /Hugo - has some worn out CTRL-C CTRL-V keys on his keyboard

Stuff dissappearing is probably more a browser issue than a BB issue. dave
