ok heres the scoop.
i currently have this 19" Acer LCD Monitor (Model # AL1912) that is sitting and doing nothing for the most part, and i was wondering if there was any sort of Thing you could build to convert the standard video cable imputs (EX..S-Video,HDMI,Composite Video, ect) to something that would work with the VGA Pin Connector on the Back of the Monitor. im aware that they already make such devices,i just wanted to build my own. does anybody have a Schematic for such a project? |

National makes a chip to do this, but transcoders are so cheap these days I would hardly think it worth the effort to make one. Here's the info though.

Portable tuners that look like portable drives are available and will connect directly to the monitor.
