Will magnets, placed within an inch of a lighting transformer (115V AC to 24V DC) adversely affect its performance (or lifespan)? Question arises as a magnetically mounted wood cover is an ideal way to conceal the surface mounted transformer in a walk in master closet of a custom residence.
