My neighbour found out that I can fix things sometimes. He busted his old gheto blaster and asked me for help. It's a Panasonic Rx 5150. He wrecked the string that moves the AM/FM tuning capacitor and the tuning dial indicator. He did not break the string but it is totally off of the 100 or so pulleys. There appears to be at least 100 variations to restring this puppy but of course only one way works. I haven't found it yet. Google has led me to a few places that have service manuals, but they all want big cash. So if anyone out there has a Panny 5150 can you take a photo of the inside and post it here or email it to me.
My neighbour thanks you and of course so do I. |
