Default Best free haul ever!

Hey all,

As I sit here writing I really am quite pleased with myself. My uncle works for a TV station here in Aus and recently told me that they had a bunch of "old stuff" that was too good to throw away and asked if I wanted to come and see if there was anything I wanted from it. I arrived to a treasure trove of studio monitors and pro amplifiers!

I was forced to show great restraint and didn't take any of the monitors despite my uncles urging to take every pair! In the end I left with three different pro amplifiers. A Sony MU-A051, a Yamaha P2075C and a Sony AMS-3. The AMS-3 is a monster!

Whilst writing this I found the manual for the P2075, it's actually good reading and covers quite a lot of amplifier terminology and concepts which are frequently asked about here.

P2075 Manual

Here are some pics of my goodies!

Sony MU-A051

Yamaha P2075C

Sony AMS-3

So that's my haul. I'm already planning to use one in bridge mode to drive a sub. Any ideas on what to do with the others? The more creative the better!

I think all these "Best free haul ever!" And my best ever dumpster dive post where guys find treasures for nothing or next to nothing should be against the rules of this forum. I just hate reading these kinds of posts

Why did you not take them? Now they'll end up in a landfill...

Haha. I felt kind of bad though. I'm considering asking if I can go back and grab a pair of monitors...

And I think the rest is going to be sold in some kind of charity auction.

Way to go, I dream of finds like that. Nice finds!

I hope you bought that uncle a nice bottle of wine (or whatever he drinks!)
