Double caps?

As a newbie Im certain to be stupid asking this but,,,Im going to try building a mullard 5/10 amp and in the parts list is a double 50mfd cap on the power supply as a resevoir can I use two caps as a substitue?

of uk,also Im really loving the idea of hearing my old vynil after many years of cdium,

Back in the old days, multiple section caps were used for convenience. They took up less space. But back then, one 20uf 450v cap was as big as a 6V6 tube, while present day caps of the same ratings are smaller than my thumb.

Certainly you can use separate caps.
