Indeed...i miss talking to Frank who could rhyme off any number of driver specs from memory. While i only visited the Speaker Shop maybe a dozen times between the original location on Yonge Street and the newer one near Yorkdale Mall it had the widest range of drivers of any store i had been to and decent prices as well.
I only wish there was a good mail order (read: affordable with lots of different brands) store in Canada. I've dealt with Q-Components and Solen but relative to the US online stores, their prices are exceptionally high on most products. Would anyone know of a good online store in Canada??? Scott |

It would certainly be great to have a walk in store here like Parts Express or Madisound in the USA

Hi
I saw your interest in The Speaker shop that used to be on Eglinton W. The Speaker Shop is still open part time. The Speaker Shop is part of a much larger company that mostly caters to speaker manufacturers. The Speaker Shop has been put in a corner of the warehouse on 25 Curity Ave. This is in the St. Clair and Oconnor area. The phone number has not changed. It is the same as always. 416-782-4451 Hours for The Speaker Shop are now very limited. 2:30pm-5:30pm Mon-Fri. If you need a different time, The Speaker Shop can either suggest a place where you can get your needed product or you may be able to make an appointment for a different time. If you have any other questions, just ask. Be well, Frank The Speaker Shop |
