Hi does anyone have a schematic and software for a pic programmer that would work in a USB to serial converter? I read that JDM and Icprog have issues with USB to serial converters. Are there any others that would work?

why don't you look for a PIC programmer that works thru paralel port instead of USB. I've seen one on ebay:

The atmel avr's support ISP(In-circuit Serial Programming), the pic's don't have support for it too?
Because isp doesn't have problems with the usb programmers. |
