Default diyAudio t-shirt catchphrase ideas

Some sample t-shirts are being printed by cafepress, printfection, wordans and spreadshirt as we speak to test their quality for the eventual opening of our official swag store, but what to put on them other than the logo? Depending on the store and the apparel, we can get back printing done as well as front printing.

If you have any ideas for an appropriate (or inappropriate ;) catchphrase or slogan, let's hear them!

The winning catchphrase(s) will of course get a free t-shirt, plus a ration of other goodies as yet undecided.

Default Long time leecher first time poster!

I'm just starting to lurn the electronics of audio but I've always been a sucker for slogans so here goes:

Why DIY
Because you can

Or maybe just
Why DIY

or
Because you can

or
Where madness an genious come together

or
What you can see is what you can get

I'll keep working on this.
In the meantime, many thanks to all of you teaching me all this amazing stuff soon to improve my musical experiences in ways a poor student never could have imagined.

/Levi

Levi beat me to it

I like " because we can "

how about 'Lets DIY together"

"DIY
Standing on the shoulders of Genius"

I like the simple idea of our logo/ URL followed by the tag
" just ask me for advice "

Thread bumped to the front page and a prize as yet to be determined added! I do like the theme of "just ask me for advice" / "ask me for advice" / "just ask me" / "ask me why"

Women Like DIYers cause were better with our hands!

DIY:
1- Think about it
2- Talk about it
3- Argue about it
4- Agonize over parts selection
5- spend outrageous amounts of money for "exotic" parts
6- spend weeks doing PCB layouts
7- Start Building it
8- Put it on the shelf
9- Say you will get back to it someday
10- Sell it to someone else cheap to get it out of the way (or fund another project take your pick)

Isn't that "Tu-be, or not to be"?

My slogan is NOT hi-fi related but a dig at racists....

"Repatriate the Coypu"

"Elevating the [Strike]Art[/Strike] Science of Music Reproduction"

"Fanatical"

"Just Because We're Cheap Doesn't Mean We're Easy"

"My Speakers Are Bigger Than Yours"

"DIY Your Wife Will Hate"

"Inspired by Sound"

Last edited by amiklos; 9th September 2009 at 03:53 PM. Reason: trying to get strikethrough to work in first slogan

How about the image of a license plate like the New Hampshire plates, where the plate says

DIY AUDIO
Build free or die

For those who don't know, "Live free or die" is the official motto of the New Hampshire state.
