I don't know that a Garmin GPS is any less desirable from there as from anywhere else. And a lot of people are more comfortable parking in front of a small storefront like Radio Shack and walking right in the door, than parking 200 yards away in a multi-acre parking lot and then navigating to the far end of a giant Best Buy store.
So according to your business model the next logical step for RS is opening drive-throughs? I'm not sure that squares so well with sponsoring a cycling team. "Get your gadgets for top dollar without even leaving the car!"

In most RS stores these days it's hard to get any help or even pay for your stuff. All the employees are too busy explaining calling plans.

They are not all like that, but most are.

This must be RS' last dying PR gasp before they fold? Only in the most dire emergency will I step foot into this rip-off mart (and there's one two blocks away from me). I guess it could have been worse: I was fearing the new sponsor would have been MicroSnot (also in need of a PR jump start).

And Lance is no spring chicken anymore either, although obviously a cycling legend and still one of the best.

Will this make you feel better about RS and spend your money there? I had thought most people thought they were a joke.

Heh,
I started this morning seeing Lance third on the podium, then I went to RS and bought a DIP switch I needed, and now I'm writing this on a computer using windows. I guess I'm 0/3 on your snob list.

It is terrible that they won't accept California IOU's at the tables.

If they took the IOUs then they'd pay out in them as well.

Then they'd open a wagering window on California IOU futures.

And then Wall Street would start short selling them!
