Default How does one respond to this ..?

I came across this on another forum.
How would you respond to this ...?

Quote:
.....It's a great amp, though it seems to be overdriving my speakers slightly, causing the cones to visibly vibrate. Is there anything I can do to stop this? ..........

Install a light bulb in series with the speakers. A 3uF cap might also help.

If that doesn't work, new power cords and speaker cables are in order.

Be sure not to touch the volume knob.

Install guitar amp speakers, they are built to be overdriven!

Are you sure it doesn't need a completely new volume knob? One made of audiophile grade lumber, quintuple lacquered to perfection, and of course cryogenically treated?

That guy needs to learn how to vibrate his head at the same frequency. I can't believe he's hearing anything at all!

Hi Ashok,
The best response is no response when you have someone that far gone.

Wishing you the best with this.

Just a thought. Does this fellow understand the difference between full power and volume control full up? How about real speaker handling power? Peak to RMS ratio? Acoustic feedback? Ported speakers being driven too low?

I could go on, but this guy is unclear on the concept for sure.

Install a huge (31"+) speaker, so you'll never need to make it move...

0.0001uF capacitor? XO all bass...

Wait... send him some youtube videos of car subs (he'll probably faint).

Possible that I've seen a huge sub (60'' or 80'')made by Fostex and selled for 3000$?
That thing is crazy . Is there something doable with it ? Paint it with waterproof material and put under a bathtub , Jacuzzi style ?
