Anyone with a pair of Sennheiser 650s, or any other model which uses the same connector, have a decent set of calipers who can give me a few dimensions from the connector?
Basically I'm looking for the pin diameters, lengths, outside span, as well as the basic dimensions for the rectangular portion of the connector which fits inside the receptacle. Thanks! se |

Did you contact Sennheiser and ask what connector they use? Perhaps a data sheet for the connector would have the information you seek. If it is not on the engineering drawings for the product.
They show the cable as a part in their headphones accessory listings. |

I was just looking for a quick response so I could get some basic dimensions in order to determine of my idea for making my own connector would work. I knew I could buy a Sennheiser cable and get the dimensions directly from that, but if my idea wasn't going to work, I wanted to avoid that. Turns out it will work so I'll be buying a replacement cable and using that to work out all the rest of the details. se |
