Best audio from which cheap DVD player?

I am considering getting a DVD player but most likely will be using it to play music CD 90% of time. I know there are many DVD player now coming out and will like to buy one <$50 that has reasonably good audio out.

If it has optical out is desireable but not necessary, any suggestion will be appreciated.

I heard Oppo's were pretty good!

I do have an Oppo, it is excellent DVD and audio but want to spend less $!. This DVD player will be in guest room that I will use occasionally for listening...
