I guess this is a rant. But what ever happened to rating an amp's
power rating at 8 ohms PERIOD then discussing it's power into other loads. . Time after time I see someone posting " my 500w amp" then find it's 500w into 4 ohms or talking about 2 channels
at 250w ect. Carrying this a step further take Nelsons F5 isn't it 25W well he could have said 50W (into 4 ohms) or 100W into both channels at 4 ohms or probably 1000w using the oddball way computer amps are rated. But he doesn't he uses the 8 ohm rating.
