hey there.
i have 2 ecco fonic tape units. both have the same problem with no erase, unless the unit is turned on its side. one unit is at a shop right now near the bottom of a fix list, and im gonna give the other one a shot. these units are from the late 50's. i have no schematic for this particular unit and the one one avaliable is a for a later model and is quite different. if anyone has experiance with these units or something similar i would love any help. i have new tape in it, tried different tubes and the erase head is not burned out. i am thinking it is the bias oscillator coil, but its just a guess at this point. thanks |
