Hi,
I'm looking for a circuit that can take one stereo input line level, and can output 2 or 3 stereo outputs of the same signal. Instead of using a splitter cable For instance preamp out from a car stereo or even a small mixing desk into 2 or 3 amplifiers. Thanks, Martin. |

I believe what you want to build is commonly called a "distribution amplifier".
This one has passive output splitting..... http://www.newcircuits.com/circuit.php?id=aum005 And this one has active buffered output splitting..... http://www.electroniq.net/en/audio/a...l06-tl064.html

I have a audio authority model 985. Like this; http://cgi.ebay.com/Audio-Authority-...parms=72%3A570|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1| 294%3A50
I was using this to turn 1 set of preouts into 8 sets of preouts. It worked just fine. no distortion, and you can add 10 or more of these units in line to create even more jacks if you need. I picked mine up for 4 bucks if i remember right at a thrift store, but $20 is worth it. It also transfers RCA video. Also I should note mine says 'studio grade quality', noise cancelling, balanced inputs, ultra-wide bandwidth. I havn't noticed no difference with it in-or-out of line. |
