Today(!) I got aware of acid traps in a pcb layout. Is this a real problem for normal pcb's?
What do you, you pcb experts out there?

I'm no expert in PCB, but my my impression is, you became aware 20yrs late: I remember the time when PCBs had large letters "DIP-->"; but with today's processes, this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore:
you can do anything, in any direction you want, the result will be the same (awful!). |
