Audiotek kit assembly info

I participated in the audiotek saga/misadventure on ebay recently and was left with some 'bags of parts' without assembly instructions.

A few of the kits are so simple that the PCB can be loaded without much help- eg the ATP150 PSU board.

Several members of the forum helped me with links and other info which allowed me to assemble the more complicated boards in my collection.
Thanks to everyone! My apology to anybody I haven't mentioned by name here.

I bought a couple of the Audiotek speaker protection modules - the spec. says each module can handle up to 2 x 250W, suggesting stereo, but the schematic doesn't make speaker connection clear. No Left/Right or +/-, just two IN and two OUT.

I could assume +L and +R to and from board, with grounds straight from amp to speakers, but I would feel happier if someone with more knowledge could please confirm this before I kiss my tweeters goodbye... again.

Cheers

Rab-
I have a speaker protect module like that- I forget if I got it from Audiotek or another Chinese seller. The grounds go direct to the speakers and the R,L go through the protect board. (I'm not sure that it protects much; more just a delayed turn-on??.) It gets AC-0-AC from the same transformer that feeds the amp.

If you have a pic, I can compare it to my unit.

BTW, I have a couple of sets of 'junk' thrift store speakers I use for testing stuff like this- I recommend it!

Cheers

Audiotec Speaker Protection

John -

Sounds hopeful... same schematic as your earlier post. If it's the same board they were claiming delay, overload & DC protection back when they existed.

Pics of board bare & assembled should confirm.

Cheers

I realise I am a newcomer here and that this is my first post, but I have a specific question about the AudioTek kits. I bought 2 of the input selector boards and one of the I/R Remote volume boards to build a studio monitor passive preamp. I've finished the build but have found the input selector boards don't operate when there is something plugged into the balanced input, otherwise everything seems to operate correctly. I'm fairly sure I've traced the fault to a mistake in the circuit schematic that seems to have been replicated on the PCB.

It appears to me that the negative phase of both the left and right hand balanced inputs are erroneously connected to ground rather than the respective L&R -ve phase busses (see attached schematic). I'm just wondering if anyone has built the same kit and encountered the same issue and could possibly confirm if I have got this right?

Sorry to revive this old thread, i recently got some diyzone kits into possession from a generous person who donated them, they're whole kits but they got no schematic along with them. It would really be helpful if anyone could provide me with the same.

Kits in possession and schematics needed for :

1) LM4765 amplifier kit
2) Pooge2 power amplifier
3) Analog Buffer module
