OK...Lets brainstorm here.
Lets run a magnetron at 2.45 Ghz (1/4 wave at 39mm Appx.)
Run it in TE-10 (Rectangular) , have about Eighteen inches and at the terminal end we set up tuned & highly collemated lasers to form a "Box" continuing on as a free air conduit. If I recall at high F you just need a ' difference in insulating values as the 'air' is at a differ value.
So the conduit is a mere plastic rectangular conduit.
Couldn't as my design shows "containment of my waves marching down...still in TE-10 outside ....All the way to the target??
___Salty air would be ideal as it would become at least a semiconductor--
In the US I couldn't fire up my set-up because the FCC frowns on High power RF flying across someones backyard...but down here I could.

Not sure what you are up to here, Richard. But I am pretty sure I saw the same device used to make a "time bubble" in the 3 part Dr. Who episode City of Death. (Tom Baker as the Doctor - 1979)

You should be careful, time bubbles are not safe, just ask the Doctor.
