I have been offered the chance of working in Cape Town.

What's the DIY Audio scene like?

Shops, suppliers. etc?

Please see my other thread, I need info. :-

I can't speak for CT specifically, I live in Johannesburg.
Generally you can get almost anything you want here - as far as electronics supplies go - you just have to phone around to find the appropriate dealer. I think CT will be similar.

I'm often amazed at how easily I can buy parts that people in much more cosmopolitn places like the US and UK cannot get.

RS and Farnell have outlets here, so anything in their UK catalogue you can get. And cheaper than the UK.
