Hey guys, I have a camcorder that has an a/v out and I want to get the video into my laptop by way if either firewire or USB. Is this possible? And if so, how?
Thanks alot for any help you can give me. |

If you have a camera that is based on the MiniDV format that you almost undoubtly have a Firewire(i.Link, IEEE1394, etc) on the camera that will allow you to do direct DV transfers. If it only provides a composite/SVideo out then you'll need to get something to convert the analog video to digital, Hauppauge provides a low-end/low-cost solution for $50. They're is probably some better solutions, but none that I know of.
