Indoor HDTV Antenna 45-50mile range?

Hi,

I'm looking for an Indoor HDTV antenna than can pull
in stations at least 42miles away.

I'm in an apartment, so any outdoors is most likely not possible.

I've tried the radio shack HDTV one but can only get 1-2 channels.

I've checked other sites and do not see anything with this range for indoors. Looks like anything above 40miles has to be mounted outside?

yes, outdoor is not an option. ugh, I settled for basic cable.

I was going to try the clearstream 2.

That's what my bother ended up settling for when we were "baching it"

Try as I might, I just couldn't get a signal through the building

My understanding is that HD TV signals are not as strong as analog. Actually HD TV requires a strong signal to prevent digital dropout. Digital is either or it's not, unlike analog where you can see a picture through a snowy signal.

40 to 50 away will require an external antenna.
