isn´t normaly the problem they can´t talk to you? at least nothing sensible? - ok, i can´t comment, i´m not EE. For mechanical engineers situation may be different.

Q: What's the difference between a mechanical engineer and a civil engineer?

A: Mechanical engineers build weapons. Civil engineers build targets.
