Eiji means next son, the reason why Eijiro is a very common boy's name in Japan.
Hierarchy was of such importance back in the old days of Japan that children were actually numbered : Ichiro is 1st son (Ichi is 1), Jiro is 2nd son, Saburo is 3d son (San is 3), Shiro, Goro, Rokuro, Situro, Hachiro, Kuro, Juro, etc etc.

I found that the easiest way to buy Japanese magazines (if not in Japan) is through CDjapan. Few days ago I received my first MJ and I can't understand a word, but the pics are beautiful.

This means, after scan and converting the text in a DOC file, you can use google's language tool.
