Hello!
I have a Sony Ericsson w880i with a bad microphone. No guarranty left! A new Mic arrived in my mailbox this week but i dont know how to replace it! What tools do i need? Maybe i could use some type of hand held heat-iron? Any advice are welcome! |

I assume its a back electret mic of cylindrical construction?
Be careful not to overheat it! Anything smaller than a 6mm diameter really needs a heatsink when soldering or else the diaphragm will just vaporize. Of course, opening up the cellphone in the first place is pretty tricky. good luck! |
