Default Looking for the right amp

hi all ,

2 weeks ago i got this Velleman kit from a friend to make a 2way 30 watt amp . Now , after i made the case & the board etc , i discover it works on 2x12v AC . So ( as far as my electronical perseption goes ) , it's useless ? I can't hook it on the car battery , as that's DC , or i should get a transf for the 220v here ..
But actually i was looking for a schematic / tutorial to make a Battery powered amp for some small speakers on my Zen . Ive been looking on the net , but there is too much .
Anybody have a suggestion for me for a small battery powered amp , to have some sweet music when we are on the road ?
Ive found a damm lot of tutorials with headphone amps , but i guess they don't have enough output power ?

Greetz

I think this is a job for T-amp

...although if the Velleman takes AC (i.e. there's a rectifier bridge on the board) then all you need is a mains transformer with dual 12V secondaries and a fuse/switch/socket module - probably no more than $10-20 at the local electronics surplus.

Check out the /amplifiers/chip amplifiers subforum right here on DIYaudio. I dare say everything you could possibly need exists there.

good luck
