porch system

Hey all,
I want to build a small system for my porch...high volumes are not necessary, but i would like good sound in a relatively small package. I am even thinking that mono operation would be fine, although i guess stereo would be preferred...
I am not really sure what to build. I really like the old vintage fm radios, and so was thinking a small SET (integrated?) amp and small full-range driver (FR125?). I am planning on plugging in a tuner or cdp as a source (I originally thought of an fm tuner, but it's way too complicated!)
Anyway, anyone have any design ideas?

Update: i am planning to build a small one-box system based around the k-502 amplifier from tubesandmore, as well as a small chip-based FM Receiver...now I need to decide on some speakers to use.
The size of the box I want to build is the main consideration (along with needing drivers that will live happily with this amp...)
I am thinking of using some fostex (fe127E, fe207?) drivers, but am open to suggestions...I'd like the box to be on the small side of things. I will post a proposed picture of what I'd like to end up with tonite....
