Default World's Largest Subwoofer

I saw a link to this on Make Magazine's blog yesterday:
http://www.royaldevice.com/custom.ht...20TOTAL%20HORN

Wow...just...wow. If I ever renovate my house, I know what I'm building into the foundation...

You know, I had a funny feeling that might have been the case; but didn't turn up anything after a quick search.
Oh well, can't blame a guy for trying.

I usually can't stand audiophile walks into the ether, but something about the pure (in)sanity of this makes it impossible to resist

He's paranoid about negative feedback, yet that woofer system would require a DSP (to delay everything else) to sound good. think about the delay involved in that path length.

But who cares, I want one.

First. It's far from the world's biggest.
Second: who needs 1kW? go for efficiency instead.
Third: here's another big one but still not the biggest.

click "articles to read" on the right.
then "Ultimate subwoofer" at the bottom.

orangeshasta,
I had never seen it. I appreciate your putting that link up here.
Now what would you use for the rest of the speaker system. The low end would kind of overwhelm the rest of the spectrum. Any thoughts on this. Thanks Tad
