on/off thump - use Time Delay Relay ?
I've built several Cmos circuit type relay "thump" protectors, and they work well in my audio preamps.
But I came across a box of older/unused time delay relays.
They use a tension ribbon and heater method to activate in about 4 seconds....NC (normally closed) contacts.
They de-activate immediately when their coil power is cut.....which is exactly what the other Cmos circuits do.
Is there any reason I should not consider using such a relay for "thump" protection ?
