Hello all, So here's my dilemma. Although I possess rudimentary woodworking skills and have several ideas for speakers floating around in my fevered imagination, I live in a studio apartment. I just don't have the room to utilize or even store woodworking tools. I really don't picture myself using my coffee table as a routing bench. Right now I'm leaning towards a large, semi powered, studio monitor(Think Pioneer HPM100 updated). Are there any woodshops rentable in the NYC, Brooklyn area? Any feedback would be greatly appriciated.
I doubt it!
There is a Furniture Maker/DIYAudio Member in Brooklyn. He has a shop, but for insurance/liability reasons, I am sure he can't just let you jump right in.
His name is Roman and he is R-carpenter here. He is a great guy and he also builds speakers. Maybe he can offer you some direction or maybe he can cut what you need for a fair price.
Good luck!
Regards//Keith
