I'm interested in making a device that takes 12vdc in and splits it 10 ways. 15A max current and 12-14vdc are the required specs.
I would like to involve polyswitches on the outputs for 6A each. Has anyone designed one of these or know of an easy way to do this? There are some commerical products but they are overpriced to say the least. |

I do not understand what you want the device to do, as you don't "split" 12VDC into 12VDC. Can you describe the application or provide a link to a commercial product?

It's really nothing more than a bunch of connectors and circuit breakers shoved into a box. Quite ridiculously priced if you ask me.
Should be easy enough to build. Those 4-pin XLR connectors should be easy enough to source, as well as the circuit breakers. Then just find a plastic or metal enclosure that would work, drill some holes, solder some wires, slap it all together and you're done. |
