The knob looks great. exactly as I hoped the knob would turn out. It is round, modern looking, and heavy.

The way I was taught 40 years ago in a training workshop, with DIY bias:

I assume you have a grinding wheel with a rest that can be set at right angles to the wheel.

Find a large diameter bit (12mm, say) that has not been sharpened. Offer it up to the wheel (not running) and using it as a guide, mark the angle between the cutting edge and the shank permanently on the rest.

Offer up the bit to be sharpened at the marked angle. Ensure that the cutting edge is horizontal (centre to edge). Start in this position, then move the cutting edge up, keeping contact with the wheel. You should then be simply following the original grinding. A light touch is needed

I sharpen bits down to 3mm to good effect.
