I've built a Death Ray based on an article in the 1924 Gernsbach publication, "Practical Electronics", but it doesn't seem to work. Has anyone built this circuit who can offer troubleshooting advice?

Now the real question........
Who is the one you found out it didn't work on? Didn't you know that article was a hoax? The article after the Kecksbug crash was the real mcCoy. That one works! Excellent for the Drivers!Regards//Keith

I'm interested in the descriptor "practical" as it applies to "death ray"..
