Has anyone on this forum had any experience with TermPro or TermCad from Wayne Harris Enterprises in the US?
TremPro is the loudspeaker modelling program, but the one I'm interrested in is the TermCad 3-D enclosure fabrication software. It will produce drawings for cut sheets, bill of materials, material cost etc. It's not cheap, approx $500.00 Canadian. I'm looking for something thats easy to use as I've never used any of the autocad programs that are out there, and I don't really have the time to learn how to use them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks; Doug |

Doug, unless you plan on using these prog. for Pro. work, I would not recomend using them. Mainly for the cost vs amount of usage. I used Term Pro for years when I was an installer (in Guelph), found it to be a very powerfull and usefull prog.
If your looking to use a decent prog. for designing enlosures (but don't need all that other fancey stuff) that is still moderatly priced I would use Bass Box Pro. Can be baught for 150-200 CAD. or poss. on the net somewhere. Rino |

Thanks Rhino;
I should have been more specific as I'm really only interrested in the Term Cad part of the program. We already use several loudspeaker modelling programs ie: JBL and BassBox Pro and soon to purchase the new LEAP 5 from LinearX Systems. We also are presently using the LMS v4 loudspeaker measurement system. We mainly wanted an easy to use ( and learn ) autocad program to produce drawings, bill of materials, costs etc. and the Term Cad caught my eye. Who did you install for in Guelph? Doug |

Hey Doug,
Ya, Term Pro...very nice. LEAP....EVEN BETTER! Lead Installer for Autosonics, part time at Powerline. Though this is going back a few years. Hands almost fully healed from all of the cuts and scrapes...ears unfortunately another story. Sounds like you have an interesting job Doug...didn't know Guelph had positions like that...I would have stayed. Rino |
