Circuit explanation sites

Hello All!

Im looking on the web without much luck for a site explaining how different types of electric circuits work. As in a complete run down of what each component is responsible for.

Can anyone help me here?

Cheers

Or maybe a book on this matter.

There are many. However the standard reference for good electronics application development is still:

The Art of Electronics
Horowitz and Hill
Cambridge University Press
2nd Edition
