DIY UPS, took me ~9 weeks to complete.
What do you all think of this, it’s a homemade UPS that took me more then 9 weeks to complete, and the circuit is all made by me. Functions added: 10 sec timer for mains to stabilized High and low voltage protection Auto resume function after mains recovered / keeps suspended after turned of by PC after mains is turned on Communication cable via RS-232 serial cable, to inform my PC that the mains is down and to inform my PC if the battery is low, and a function that allow my PC to switch of my UPS after a successful shutdown then the certain time is reach set by my PC The charging works with a normal 8 amp 12v charger that it set to trickle charge And the battery bank uses 2 X 60Ah car batteries What to u think? Worth it or not? |
