Hi, first post here at diyAudio, hope to contribute in the future.
I'm trying to build something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWTPD...elated&search= I was thinking in building several band pass filters(to feed into a pic's ADC) one for each column, first of all do you think this is the way to go? If so I've looked for some opamp based active filter designs and i think the biquadratic design is best because it only needs one opamp: http://www.ecircuitcenter.com/Circui...B_bandpass.htm My question is basicly if this is well suited enough for the job, for 16 columns I'll need 16 filters located across the audio spectrum, if the Q factor satisfactory with this design to provide enough contrast? I've tried to simulate several configurations with multisim but I must be doing something wrong because the AC analysis is completely incoherent I'm quite new to filters and just looking at it is a bit daunting, but hopefully I won't need to know their in and outs. Thanks |
