Default help !! - multi speaker volume control

i have a normal stereo/cd player in a bar where i live and the bar man has hooked 2 extra speakers to the o/p for the front seating area.

the trouble is, the original speakers are large 2 way and the extra are small cheap single drivers.
obviously there is an impeadance problem
The problem i have is that the outside (small) speakers are NOT as loud as the original pair on the inside.

Is there a simple way i can feed the stereo output to an unit that has two volume controlls 1 for each pair.

i would appreciate a simple non HI-FI spec solution as out here ive been quoted 250 to 350 dollars !!!!

i can get most electronic components easily and can construct cct's no probs.

any help appreciated
thanks.

Not enough info to solve problem.

1. power output of audio amp
2. minimum/nominal recommended Z of speakers
3. Z of pair 1, recommended min/max power levels
4. Z of pair 2, "
5. Are preamp outputs available?
6. How are the speakers hooked up now? Are they phased properly?

Devices called L-pads can sometimes be used to control speaker volume at the speaker leads.

Z matching can sometimes be done with resistors and/or just parallel/series combinations of the speakers/L-pads.

It may or may not be a suitable solution.

Hi,
buy a power amp for each set of speakers.
Preset the gain in each amp to give a suitable relative volume from each speaker.
Then use the source volume control for overall volume changes.
