Hi all!
Experimenting with SMPS power supplies I've came with a -not so- crazy idea: can you use a TL494 in a linear mode power supply? I mean, you have already 2 interconnected op amps, one for voltage, one for current monitoring, and a nice band gap voltage reference. Use the feedback output to drive a npn external transistor, witch in turn drives a power pass and you've done! Will it work? I don't see no drawbacks here... cheers! |
