Seeing as how I would like to upgrade from the internal power amp in my Pioneer receiver, I would like to use pro audio amps for my speakers and sub. However, my receiver (Pioneer VSX-515-K) doesn't have any pre-outs except the sub out, but I still want the remote control, the numerous inputs, and bass management that my receiver has, so I don't want just a simple passive preamp. I also don't want to have to spend $400 for a receiver with the pre-outs when I won't even be using the internal amps (quite a bit of wasted money on metal if you ask me). Are there any pre-amps with the functions of a receiver without the amps, and similar or lower price (taking off the cost of the heavy transformer and amplifier boards should make it cheaper, right?).
Thanks for any help. |

Yes, there are what you looking for.
We call that Pre/Pro (Preamp Processor). Here is a Comparison Chart i found. But must of the time they are more expensive then a receiver. |
