I am trying to wire a surface mount component in EagleLite, but the wires don't touch the small pads of the surface mount component (as seen in the attached picture), they only fit between the pads. What must I change so that I can contact each pad with a trace?

Hi, I've just had the same problem with some power resistors. Change your grid to a smaller number. Try 0.025 inch, 0.0125 inch or smaller if you need to. With some experimentation you'll find a grid value that works.
