Default Congratulations to Kelticwizard

Well done Peter, you made the Grand (English slang for 1000)

How does it feel to have 1000 posts under your belt

Congratulations Kelticwizard,

I’m sure that I speak for most on the forum in saying that you have earned the title of “Enlightened”, even if it isn’t displayed anymore. We'll just call you Mr, Wizard.

Fantastic job.

Congratulations Peter,

I think it likely that you probably have the highest content ratio of any other to reach "Enlightenment"

to the Wizard

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and good wishes at this joyously awkward moment. There is nothing like having your cyber-friends show up to toast you for reaching 1,000 posts and Enlightened status when you're the guy who started a thread to say that post counts should be discontinued and Enlightened status eliminated.

Actually, it should be I who is toasting dhaen, peranders, pinkmouse, Planet 10 and Roddyama specifically, and the rest of the members of DIYAudio in general, for making this a place where a fellow wants to put up 1,000 posts. Where the threads of people starting their first project live side-by-side with threads of high enders speaking of the most esoteric equipment possible-and both are considered appropriate. Where a friendly attitude is the rule, not the exception. Where threads last 30 posts instead of 3, yet still keep to the subject. No question, very early on, I knew I had found a home here.

For those who would question, wth much justification, what I am doing in this thread considering my previously stated positions, I can only offer the following:

I am here because the beer is free.

That has always been a great reason for me to be someplace before, and I see no reason to change now.

Bottoms Up, and Cheers to DIYAudio Forums!!
