I'm planing to buy some decent quality soldering iron. ERSA multitip series are about 30 euros. How good are they?

Hi rendisha,
I use a Elsa all the time at home! I like it very much! At work I had to use a much more expensive Weller. Never got used to it!

Elso,
quite opposite with me, never got used to Ersa. Be it regulated or not. I am quite fond of my Weller WSD 130. The WSP 80 iron (80W) attached to it is as handy and abalnced as an expensive fountain pen. And the second iron, MLR-21 / 25W i just the right thing for very delicate work.

Yes i may say so, i HAD to use weller cause it was free but was i glad to get to MY ersa again, Weller has been known to have problems with variable current (in Washington state a daily problem from 102v upto 141V ???????)
