Hi everyone. I want to construct a 2-channel psu to use while testing new amps and other equipment. It will need to safely deliver at LEAST 7.5 or preferably 10 amps per channel an be adjustable from 3-28V per channel. Also the plus from one channel must be connectable to the other channels minus, O I can get a common zero voltage point.

I have been looking at Lm317 and lm1083, but want your input on this.

Anyone else made something similar?

Buy one autotransformer for the mains voltage you have and buy one 30Volts dual secondary, 10A transformer, two bridge rectifiers (35A) and 63V rated elecrolytic capacitors of the value you prefer. 10000 microfarad x4 will be fine.

You can get all the voltages from this combo.
