if you are looking for a real GOOD multimeter just get a FLUKE!!! get the 179 or if you want the top one, get the 87v. here is the 179:ROBOT WARNING - at the Test Equipment Depot

There is more to the world than Fluke. Fluke is the most well known, but far from the only manufacturer, let alone the best. Fluke has not really been innovating in this space in a while. In the meantime, makers like Agilent, Brymen, Der EE, etc. have been taking up the slack making new and interesting high perfromance meters. Any meter which is actally UL-listed and has competent safety ratings is going to be a solid device.

In the meantime, makers like Agilent, Brymen, Der EE, etc. have been taking up the slack making new and interesting high performance meters.

The very truth is that Fluke ownership is now at the hands of another multinational corporation, and new decisions about creating fresh innovative products can not be executed or easily approved.

The powers that be within Fluke in the past two years simile more to accountants, and
accountants are unable to offer vision and innovation.

Former Agilent handheld team where sort lived too, among the last two years also looks like that
accountants opinion measure up more than anything, and handheld division is not a priority to them.

It is no miracle to me that other makers who are reliable and flexible, they gain today the credit which they do deserve.
