Default OS X audio testing software

I am looking for something to test my preamp and to test my power amp for distortion and frequency response.

Faber Acoustical makes some software to do this (i.e., Electroacoustic Toolbox, SignalScope Pro), but are the other alternatives I should be considering for my Mac?

I have an M-Audio ProFire 610 for the audio I/O.

Any updates to the list you posted in 2013?
Eg. is there any more software for RTA coming on the market the last two years, also freewares could be interesting (for Apple Mac OS10.10 etc....)

OK, I understand, and thank you for a quick reply.

Anyone else here in DiYAudio who have done some research for RTA software that is available for the Apple Mac and OS 10?

I am 90% Mac in my home. The need for AudioTester drove me to purchase a Firewire laptop running XP. I have since upgraded to Win7 with good results.
I did a lot of trial and error with Mac RTA software a number of years back, but in the end none of them provided what I was obtaining with AudioTester for so simple a process. I am sure they are out there, but they just did not grab me.
