I am looking for something to test my preamp and to test my power amp for distortion and frequency response.
Faber Acoustical makes some software to do this (i.e., Electroacoustic Toolbox, SignalScope Pro), but are the other alternatives I should be considering for my Mac?

Eg. is there any more software for RTA coming on the market the last two years, also freewares could be interesting (for Apple Mac OS10.10 etc....)

I am 90% Mac in my home. The need for AudioTester drove me to purchase a Firewire laptop running XP. I have since upgraded to Win7 with good results.
I did a lot of trial and error with Mac RTA software a number of years back, but in the end none of them provided what I was obtaining with AudioTester for so simple a process. I am sure they are out there, but they just did not grab me.

I use this on my Ipad I don't see anything saying you can use it on a MAc but you can view the files on a mac
