For small boards a corner notching shear might make sense. When it's not cutting boards, it's handy for making fold up metal chassis.

Man the number of times I've talked about a small bolt lathe or miller. I like the 12" shear...hmm, where to put it? Thanks guys. To bad the wife's car decided this week was the time to remind us of it's age. Figures.
