Default High voltage speaker connection?

Hi, I'm designing a custom sound system using plasma speakers, and I need a medium-high voltage DC connection between the power supply and the amplifier - >200v. What's the voltage limit for the XLR connectors? What kind of connectors should I use? Any help would be welcome.

a quick search for XLR at DIGI-KEY found a datasheet from CONNON for a 127007-010 that gave a pin 2 rating of 200V and 3-7 pin of 133V

This might be a little low for what you want.

RF coaxial cables have some high ratings.

BNC with RG-58 is rated for 500Vrms. Be very careful if you are going to put connectors on the coax by yourself.

DIGI-KEY is a great place to get data sheets on almost any electronic part...so many parts that it is difficult to narrow your search to what you actually want.

(no I don't own stock)

banana jacks vary with construction:

"Operating Voltage: Hands free usage in controlled voltage environments: 2500 Vrms maximum."

"Rated at 15 Amps, 5,000 VDC."

"Rated at 15 Amps, 1,000 VAC RMS."

Most of my DIY is built around what is available, either in my supplies, in surplus shops, or from "the big stores": Digi-KEY, Newark, Mouser, Allied, etc.

hope that helps
