Default Mic preamp circuit for Behringer ECM8000

Can anyone recommend a good pre-amp circuit suitable for using with an EMC8000 for measurement purposes? It would be connected to the line-in on a USB sound card. Phantom power would be a bonus.

I designed a replacement mike preamp with phantom power for the EMC8000 to be used with a modded Behringer DCX2496. Can also be used stand-alone, needs +/-15VDC for supply.

Got to get phantom power somewhere. Of course, they do work with 3 9V batteries and a couple of 47uf caps.... Na, look at THAT. Look at ESP.

You can build, but it is also pretty easy to buy:
Behringer UB502
Rolls MP13
M-Audio Audio buddy

Last time I used it, my audio buddy seemed to have a lot of hum pickup, but since there is no hum without the mic connected, it may be the mic and/or cable - or perhaps there was really scads of 60Hz (and multiples) in the environment

My Audio Buddy does not seem to be the source of my hum. I did have a problem of the transformer mechanically buzzing so I potted it. I had, and now have, bigger problems with the external USB sound cards.

There's a small kit sold by Pilgham Audio that looks like the atteched.
The special XLR input connector accepts XLR male for the digital input, and there's a 6.3mm plug in the center for the mic. That means you do need an adapter from the XLR to 6.3mm jack for the EMM8000 but these are standard.
The PCB connects to allready present wiring in the DCX.
